GOAL

Exceed student academic and college and career readiness measures at the schools we partner with when compared to their peers in the region and state.

STRATEGY

Advocate for schools to adopt evidence-based strategies that lead to better outcomes for students with an emphasis on helping at-risk students.

2023 OBJECTIVES

  1. Initiate a public awareness effort to inform parents, school boards, and policy makers of the K-12 academic performance in their schools to create a sense of urgency for the need for education innovation.
  2. Lead a regional coalition of business organizations to leverage advocacy efforts on educational priorities and demand better K-12 results.
  3. Increase the aggregate 3rd grade ELA score for the region by the adoption of the leading practices for early literacy identified by the Reading Now Network, the General Education Leadership Network (GELN), and the Center for Sound Literacy.
  4. Increase career education & work-based learning experiences for students; scale effective methods to develop 21st century skills and competencies among students.
